The Nowe Bielawy Shopping Centre in Toruń is environmentally friendly and has recently been awarded a BREEAM In-Use certificate with a very good rating.

The Toruń shopping centre has successfully passed the environmental examination, obtaining a “very good” score, i.e. very good in the BREEAM In-Use certification process. This means that the facility has been positively assessed in all eight categories now taken into account in the case of shopping centres by the assessors. High marks were awarded to Nowe Bielawy for, among others, the solutions implemented in recent years which have an impact on the health and well-being of customers visiting the centre. Attention has also been given to the way in which the mall manages energy, for example, the installation of energy-efficient LED lighting or air conditioning replacement with a more electricity efficient system. The management of green areas around the centre also got a very opinion of the assessors. In addition, high marks were given to Nowe Bielawy for access to the public transport network and rational water management. The highest score, 100%, was given to Nowe Bielawy for waste management, which is also a result of the new policy.
